If you’re feeling particularly energetic, or if you’re forcing yourself to do something active to rationalize your decadent brunch plans, you can scale the walls at Crux Climbing Center or take a paddle board out on the water. But be sure to save some energy for later; SoCo’s legendary nightlife is not to be missed. Catch a show at the iconic Continental Club, ride a mechanical bull, or enjoy a cocktail and a little dancing at one of SoCo’s favorite bars.
Holly Neighborhood
Austin’s Holly neighborhood features lively music venues, restaurants, bars, and great nightlife. Dotted with lots of green spaces and parks with great trails to hike and bike, like Lady Bird Lake and Fiesta Gardens (site of several large festivals), Holly is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Austin proper. You get a quieter neighborhood with plenty of fun with quick access to downtown’s major music venues and sites.
