PRO:This is the second time we have rented a condo at Harbor Steps and this years rental was by far a larger condo than last years, which we like a lot. We will rent here again next year when we are in Seattle.CON: The carpet needed cleaning and the door to the patio needed to be rehung. The door fell on me the first time I opened it. If we were on a street access floor I wound not of been happy nor would I have stayed in the condo.

Need for improvement

This is the fist time that we stayed at this facility. The location is excellent and within easy walking distance of Pike’s Market, downtown activities, etc. The view from the room and small deck is outstanding and the checking process was very easy. The downside of the location is that it is adjacent to a major roadway and the road noise is very distracting and makes it hard to have a conversation with the window open. For the price that they charge, the owners/managers should invest in the property and make it better for their guests. (1) The kitchen is sparsely equipped. It wouldn’t cost much money to add some simple upgrades to kitchenware, etc. (2) The beds are old and marginally comfortable. (3) The bathroom towels, bedding and pillows are average-poor quality. (4) Paint the place! (5) Some additional wall dcor would help. (7) The carpet should be either professionally cleaned or replaced. In summary, next trip we will stay at a downtown hotel.

Everything is right outside your door

We were in Seattle for a meeting at the conference center - easy walking distance. The location is 2 blocks from Pike Market, a couple of blocks from a grocery store and surrounded by good restaurants. If you exit on the west side of the building, you are very near the waterfront and ferries. And the Seattle art Museum is literally across the streetThe unit was very nice and and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The only downside is the street noise, which is to be expected in a downtown location.

Great time in Seattle!

We came down to Seattle for a long weekend from Vancouver and had a great time. The Harbor Steps is a fantastic location, and central to so much. Great restaurants, the market, shopping are all right out the door. If I were planning another trip to Seattle I would definitely try and stay at the Harbour Steps again. Alfred’s was also a great company to deal with. There was an issue with one of my bookings and they were very responsive and made sure the situation was totally resolved to my satisfaction. I would recommend them.

Perfect Location

The apartment was set up nicely for 4 people. The Beds were comfortable, But King beds would have been better and the rooms are big enough to support king size beds.

Was a very nice condo, loved the location and view. Easy key pick up and drop off. Very quiet and clean area. Had a large passenger van, so I did not use the parking garage. But it was right in the building and there is a lot on Western ave. Can take the elevator up from Western ave., wich is much easier than going through the lobby area, especially if you have a car. Great place to stay, worth every penny. We were going to stay in a hotel and for two rooms for a week would have been over two grand, saved money and it was a better location. Would absolutely stay again.

Simply convenient

I was really happy with how smoothly everything went. Communication was great and access to the well-prepared apartment was without fuss. Lots of little things done right, including provision of a few food treats, soap and shampoo, and single use clothes detergents. The apartment was great, with all that I needed, and it was really close to the things that I needed in downtown Seattle. All within walking distance so no need for a car. A washing machine and dryer made a pleasant change to traveling home with dirty clothes. I may be back in Seattle for another week-long meeting in October, and if so, I will book the apartment again

This rental unit is a stones throw away from the famous Pike Place market. Loved that we were able to walk to many of our shopping destinations and Target was super close by, great for picking up a few things that we forgot to pack. Very clean, nice decor, spacious. Downside, the bed in both roooms were super uncomfortable. One sagged in the middle while the other felt like were sleeping on a trampoline! The shower head in the main bathroom had a leak so water was spraying outside the shower! These things aside, it was a very positive experience.

We found out that the support pillar in the middle of the bed was slanted, making the bed sag, but is now fixed. We also had maintenance fix the leak. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this caused. We would like to discount your next stay with us.

Awesome location…modern apartment!

Located right near Pikes Market and lots of restaurants! Walkable to most other places. Olympic Garden; next door to SAM; longer walk to EMP and Needle.Apt. Has great amenities! Free wifi; separate one bedroom; bathroom had 2 sinks and large jacuzzi…each apt may be different…ask!!All newly appointed in decor!

Great apartment in a fantastic location

The apartment was great. The building was posh, the view was astounding — we were able to watch a Friday noontime show from our balcony, and the views of the bay were mesmerizing. The kitchen was very serviceable and we were able to eat quite a few meals at the dining table which saved us time, money and energy since we have kids with us. There are a lot of restaurants as well as a convenience store within a very short walking distance. We also walked to Pike Market (about 0.5miles), the waterfront (2 very steep blocks down the hill) and the library right from the apt. It was great to be able to park the car in the basement garage and not have to worry about it for the duration of our stay. Do pay attention to where you leave the car, the parking lot is very confusing!
