Luv the Condo & Location. Did not like that the Elevator was broken the whole visit as we were on the 4th floor

My mother, daughter and I enjoyed our first visit to Seattle, having no experience with the area. We found this apartment online and were completely satisfied. The location couldn’t be beat!!! Aside from the beauty of that part of town, Marketside is especially safe and convenient. Target and a grocer were within 2 blocks, Pike Place Market next door, waterfront restaurants in sight, the art Museum across the street, and all other interests well within walking distance. Our furthest walk was to the Space Needle, which was approximately a mile or so away. We flew in to SeaTac and rode the light rail to the second to last stop (can’t remember the name), for less than $10 for all 3 of us. Finding the check in at Harbor Steps (simply across the street) was not difficult, and our room was clean, ready and waiting. Although not large, the unit was plenty for the three of us…better than a hotel. And just about everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. We would absolutely stay with alfred’s again! My only recommendation would be to have access to the rooftop entrance. We used that exit most often rather than taking the steps to the Union Street entrance, but our keys/code did not work for the secure rooftop door. This was not a significant problem though.

I stayed here last weekend with my brother to see some friends who were in town. We had a great time relaxing in the sun (yes, sun) on the rooftop. The roof is actually level with 1st ave so you can access the building from the roof or lower level. The location is great; around the corner from the Pike Place Market, restaurants, bars and piers 54-57. There is a Target around the corner for food and other things you might need. We even walked to Safeco field and just took an Uber when we couldnt walk somewhere. The apartment is a converted studio but there are sliding doors to conceal the bedroom area. The pull out sofa was perhaps the most comfortable sofa I have ever slept on and actually preferred it over the bed (there was nothing wrong with the bed). I also think the second sofa folded down like a futon so the place sleeps plenty. The kitchen was modern and had everything you need. Full washer and dryer in unit was a plus as well.We even flew back to NY with the Seattle Reign womens soccer team including Hope Solo. That was pretty cool.

Perfect for our family of four-small but still better than any hotel room at a reasonable price. Having a full kitchen, washer and dryer and roof top deck-priceless. Steps to everything we wanted. Would highly recommend.

Once you have checked in, you can enter and exit from the rooftop entrance - it’s at Union and 1st, right at the Four Seasons Hotel. The main entrance is at the harbor level.This is a nice apartment for two, great location next to Pike Place Market.

The kitchen was great for at home leisurely breakfasts, cooking up fresh fare from the markets (Target grocery store a few blocks away as well). Dishwasher, 6 bottle wine fridge. The washer /dryer mean you need to pack fewer clothes, the walk way to patio level makes getting back to the condo easy, Highway 99 blue bar and Elliott’s Oysters is just down the hill. Wifi and TV. Double bed only in a tight bedroom, inches to spare on each side of bed, pancake flat pillows. No air conditioning so opening the window will also let in the double freeway noise. Slept a few nights with ear plugs. This was unit 403, perhaps something on other side of building would be quieter. Otherwise exceptionally clean and functional, goodie bag with coffee and breakfast bars to get you started nice touch.

great value.The kitchen worked well for at home cooking. The Dishwasher, 6 bottle wine fridge, washer /dryer were great conveniences. Wi-Fi and TV. Exceptionally clean and functional!

I stayed here for two weeks in april. The location was perfect: close to the waterfront, Pike Place market, downtown shopping and the light rail. Only issue is the unit was extremely warm, despite the cool/rainy weather in Seattle. There’s no way to safely leave the window open as there is no safety gate or even a screen. The supplied fan is noisy.On the day I departed, the elevator was broken, so three flights of stairs was a bit much.

This was a lovely studio with all of the necessary amenities. We were comfortable and felt safe at all times. It was a super location: Close to SaM, the aquarium, Pike’s Market and much more. We never needed a car. We had a great time.

My wife and I stayed were last weekend, and we had a great stay. The roof top deck was great the first day when the sun was out, then it rained the second night, so we didn’t use it. The room was cozy and clean, with modern finishes. Spent most of the time walking around.

Found a unique place to stay in Seattle. Market Side Flats is a small apartment in a rental building just off Post Alley and right below Pike Place Market. A company named Alfred’s arranges the rental. If you google search Market Side Flats you will find information on the building and a video.Pre payment of the rental is required. Parking is extra as is a $90 cleaning fee. The trip advisor site doesn’t actually mention these extra costs. That puts the costs in the range of mid priced hotels but you may be able to save on your costs because the apartment has a kitchen.Details - the room is a small size apartment with kitchen (stove top, microwave, sink, kitchen, freezer and wine cooler. No oven.) The main bed is queen sized inside a small section that has sliding doors. A bit cramped to walk around the bed. There were a couple dressers in our room.There is free wifi.Bathroom had a nice shower and apartment sized washer and drier. One picky thing - we were only given one bar of soap and so had to keep moving it back and forth between the shower and wash basin.There is also a fold out sofa bed that fits one only. There is cable TV and a dvd player.The room was stuffy. Reviews on other sites mentioned this too. Our visit was in March when the weather was cool and the room was still warm. Our room was on the 4th floor. Unfortunately the elevator was broken and that was a pain for getting our bags in. We had friends on the second floor. Their room was larger but it was chilly and the heat didn’t seem to work.Keys are picked up at a rental office and then you drive to the building itself. There is only pay parking all around. The building is up Union Street just off Western and there is a 3 minute drop off area to unload. There is a pay parking lot across the building on Western. This was a suggested parking place by Alfreds but when we went to the lot they would only give us parking for a maximum 10 hours. Instead we drove up Western to the Pike Place Parking lot and parked for $20 a day which is a decent price for the area.The location was great - just below the market off Post Alley (near the gum wall). Short walk to the water and Seattle Art Museum.Near the freeway and so there was that noise in the background but not an issue with the windows closed.We would stay again due to the convenience of having a kitchen and nice location.

Was nice to have the amenities to make a home cooked meal while traveling. This rental was looked like it was just updated on the inside and had all the cooking utensils we needed. Two of the nights we walked across the street to the piers and ate seafood which was a wonderful experience. I would recommend this place and will be back.

This is my second time back to this property. I just feel like a Seattlite when I stay here, just a few blocks from the original Starbucks, I work at the Starbucks in Portland, the Great Wheel, and all the stuff on the pier. There isnt a ton of cleaning supplies in the unit, mostly just the basics. Other than that and the Seattle Traffic, it was pretty much perfect.

Our family loved our city apartment! It was perfectly located! We were situated right on Post alley which made it easy access to Pike Place Market. Across the street and down the stairs were just minutes from the boardwalk to great restaurants, the argosy Harbor Cruise and Seattle aquarium. We had purchased a City Pass that allowed us to see and experience a lot of what Seattle has to offer. We also got to take in a Mariner’s Game at Safeco Field. The only downfall of Seattle has to pay for parking no matter where you go! Be sure to budget for it! Our apartment was perfect for our family. There was a futon and pull out so each of the boys got their own bed! There was a portable air conditioner that we definitely could not have lived without! Very clean and had everything we needed to cook our own meals on occasion. Relaxing after a jam packed day sightseeing on the rooftop was spectacular. This property is located next to the Four Season Hotel which says a lot about its amazing location. It’s within walking distance to any major Seattle attraction and it’s surrounded by amazing restaurants and Pike’s Place. The suite is very modern, clean and perfect for business or vacation travelers. The rooftop area has great views and is perfect for socializing, laying out or taking pictures with the bay as your background. We have no real complaints and would absolutely stay here again.

My room was different than in picture but picture is fair representation of unit I recieved. The rooftop bridge lets you out at 1st and Union. Fifty feet away is a door that lets you into the end of Pike’s Market. The room had a big gas stove, fairly large fridge, wine cooler, full laundry and one of those huge shower heads. The bed seemed a little soft and springy but was actually comfortable. The Partition makes it easier to let someone sleep in while the other gets up. I live in Alaska and go to Seattle at least onnce a year. I will most likely stay here again. See no point in shopping around when this is just what I want.

Was looking for a hotel alternative while in town for business. Wanted to be close to the downtown attractions as well. This turned out to be the perfect location, right next to Post Alley.The modern apartment was tight quarters. The pictures are accurate but realize it is a studio apartment with faux walls for the bedroom. The galley kitchen was just enough to prepare a light dinner from the item that we purchased from the market a block away. Access was straightforward and had no complications. Certainly will consider staying here again.

The best place to stay in Seattle!!!!!LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!On Post Alley, literally around the corner from Pikes Place!Incredible Roof Top patio, that walks right on to 1st Ave through security door.Amazing!!!!Studio apartment was contemporary and industrial styled, hip and comfortable.Super clean and all the amenities you could ask for.Directions were perfect!Key pick up was easy and secure!Bedding was brand new, soft, comfy, stylish….The picture was exactly as it was!And sooooo welcoming and accommodating for our Pet!!!!!Not to mention the Stay Alfred agent went above and beyond to accommodate and insure we got the best deal in town!!!Can’t wait to book another trip through TripAdvisor and Stay Alfred!!!!

We loved our stay in Seattle in our Stay Alfred apartment! The location was right in the heart of downtown and easily accessible to everything — the Art Museum, the Aquarium, and Pike Place Market just to name a few. The apartment was well equipped and we were able to cook our own meals when we wanted, and if not, lots of restaurant choices very close by. The view from the rooftop was wonderful as it looked out over the harbor, and the Great Wheel was beautiful at night. Our only complaint was that it was a little noisy, but it never kept us up at night. All in all, a wonderful place to stay!

Our experience with Stay Alfred was very good,followed their instructions and had easy access to accommodation,the apartment was of a lovely modern design very comfortable. My only complaint was that the apartment being very small became very hot as there was no air conditioning and it had only one window a bit of traffic noise so wasn’t able to leave it open at night,other than that it is in a great position with easy access via the rooftop exit,you are right next door to Pike Place Market and close to buses and trains which was great as we had no vehicle,supermarket was a block away located in the basement of the Target Store.

A small but very comfortable and well equipped apartment with a fabulous location just near the superb Pyke’s Market, art gallery and lots more. Having access by the roof is great meaning no steep climb into the city centre. The only thing that could have improved the apartment would be double glazing as noise did sneak in at night - bring your ear plugs.

The location was perfect, right at Pike’s Place Market and the rental was everything they said it would be! The rental was clean and well stocked along with being very secure and safe. The rooftop deck had a secured door leading out to the street and the view was amazing. Overnight parking was a bit of a challenge but we were able to find a parking garage close by that was reasonably priced. I recommend anyone going to Seattle to stay here. Everything you want is close by and in walking distance; Harbor Argosy Cruise, Seattle Sea Aquarium, Crab Pot, Pikes Place Market (literally its right there), the Underground Tour, breweries, bars, entertainment and restaurants galore! We had two teenagers with us but younger children can easily do the walk. We will definitely stay here again and also recommend this to family and friends.
