I enjoyed the place, it was clean, nice and beautiful. Customer service was great.Front desk was very helpful.I love the nice and new building. What i likes the least, was that the parking spot provided (for additional fee) was 5 stories below.

Amazing property (with views of homeless shelter & tent city)
Posted on: 4/27/2016
So I’ll start with the only negative aspect of this property. The building, Pinnacle on the Park, is in a revitalization area of East Village. There are several vacant lots near the building that look like they’re about to get new development. There is a huge homeless shelter surrounded by a tent city next door to this property. My family and I sat on the balcony and watched drug deals go down repeatedly at one of the tents. Regardless, the homeless caused my family and I no problems whatsoever, aside from hearing them yell and shout at times. Now for the accomodations. The place was amazing! The furnishings and dcor were comfortable and upscale. Seeing as the property is brand new, the unit was in immaculate condition. We really appreciated the complimentary snack basket, and they even had toiletries, laundry soap, etc. which we did not expect to be provided. The cable television and free wifi worked properly and were very convenient. Despite the immediate view of the homeless shelter as described above, we also had decent views of the city and skyline through the massive windows in the living room and master bedroom. I think the three bedroom unit StayAlfred offers at this location probably has a more direct view of the skyline though. We really enjoyed the huge hot tub, though the swimming pool was too cold to use. As for the customer service, they were spectacular. I got informative and easy to read e-mails containing instructions for our stay. When I had a question, I got to a friendly customer service rep immediately, without having to navigate a phone tree. The assigned parking spot was five levels underground, which was a bit cumbersome, but at least it was safe and secure. We really enjoyed our getaway and I would definitely stay with StayAlfred again.

I would definitely stay with Stay Alfred again!

Our apartment was perfect for our stay in February. It was clean and in an awesome location. We had a good experience with customer service. The parking garage was a huge plus especially because you always had a designated parking spot. Checking in was a little bit weird but as long as you read your emails from them you will get all the directions you need

A good vacation rental
Posted on: 3/10/2016
The accommodation environment clean and tidy, electrical equipment is complete, easy to use. You can cook and wash clothes. There have a swimming pool, spa pool and gym. The geographical position is superior, close to the downtown. There is convenient supermarket nearby. In a nutshell, it is a good vacation rental.

Glam apartment in San Diego
Posted on: 3/10/2016
We had a great time at the Stay Alfred apartment at Pinnacles on the Park. The apartment was a cute modern glam apartment in a great building. The apartment was beautifully furnished with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, laundry etc. The building also had great amenities. We unwound in the hot tub and there was a giant movie screen. Stay Alfred also made us feel really welcome with a welcome package with snacks and very prompt customer service. It was very easy to get to the Gaslamp district by Uber/Lyft (somewhere between $6 - $13). We’d highly recommend not walking as the neighborhood directly surrounding the building is a little gritty (neighborhood redevelopment definitely a thing). However, we felt fine with access and keeping the car in the garage.

Great place in San Diego but could use some improvements.
Posted on: 3/16/2016
We recently stayed at this property and enjoyed our stay. The place is in a great location in the east village close to shops and restaurants and easy to walk to. It seems to be a problem in east village with alot of homeless people around this area but they keep to themselves and do not bother you. Jordan (the property manager) had excellent service and was always on top of responding by email or text message very quickly. The apartment is well stocked with cutlery and dishes, cable tv, wifi, furniture etc to make for a compfy stay and was a nice touch they included a pack n play crib for our small child. The carpets in one bedroom are already pretty beaten up for a new condo and showers have very low water pressure (if being nitpicky). The pool and BBQ for the condo building are for everyone to use and a nice added benefit. Underground parking is also a nice benefit. Some improvements would definitely help with stocking the other small amenities. Only one “pod” was included to was the dishes so could only run the dishwasher once and a very small dish soap container was included. Its obviously not enough for a one week or more stay at the condo. I have always found it helpful with condo rental to at least included a bulk dishwasher, laundry and soap detergent as its very handy to have and a nice touch so you don’t have to go buy these things when you are only staying for one week and of no real use once you leave obviously. Overall a reasonably good stay at this condo but some improvements and small extra touches would make it an excellent place to stay.

A Great Place to stay with plenty of food, grocery and other amenities within a walking distance.
Posted on: 3/16/2016
This beautiful condo is just as described. It is close to plenty of grocery stores, restaurants and other amenities. The condo is brand new, has nice appliances (refrigerator, oven, microwave, etc.), utensils, pillows, and towels. I would definitely stay at this place again!

Wonderful Apartment that’s close to everything.
Posted on: 3/23/2016
The provided photos on the Airbnb Listing describe the property accurately. Jordan, the Host, was very attentive and prompt during the rental process. The onsite staff were helpful and available when we needed them. The living space was really nice, it was open and inviting as it was already stocked with dinnerware and toiletries as well as a snack basket. The addition of a washer and dryer is a huge plus for packing light and being able to do laundry for long stays. The location can be a bit noisy at night, and there is new building construction going on throughout the day. The shower heads are a little on the low pressure side due to how it outputs water. Parking is also tight for larger vehicles and remembering the parking pass on your dash IS A MUST. Our vehicle was towed to an impound 10 miles away. It’s a costly mistake, so don’t let it happen to you. Despite those issues, we loved the location, cost and opportunity. The apartment is located in the Gaslamp Quarter District of SD. It is very close to Petco Park, the Convention Center as well as “Little Italy”. Balboa Park is just north of the Apartment, very easy to get to and from that area. Sea World is a bit of Drive, but access to the Highway is close by and easy to get to minimize travel time. We’d definitely be interested in being repeat customers when we come back to San Diego in the future. We were a group of four adults and a 2yr old child and the apartment meet our needs just fine. On a side note, there is quite a gathering of homeless community around the area. They are relatively harmless and were no bother to our stay. They actually provided us an opportunity to donate any leftover food we were unable to eat before checking out. Also, the king size bed is located in the guest bedroom and not the master. Overall, we had a great time with our stay for our first trip to San Diego as well as our first Opportunity to use and book reservations on Airbnb.

Nice location, new apartment
Posted on: 3/30/2016
The apartment was located in the heart of San Diego, with great public connection to almost anywhere in the town. The apartment was clean and new, also well-equipped, would be perfect for family travelling! The gym (quite well-equipped), jacuzzi and swimming pool just downstair, so convenient!

Great stay!
Posted on: 3/30/2016
We were a large group in our mid 20s to 30s visiting SD for a conference held at the Convention Center and so we decided to search for apartment rentals to be more comfortable and also, better for the pocket since we rented two apartments vs having three hotel rooms (If you rent more than 1 unit, ask for a discount). Anyhow, the place was easy to find using google maps, and you can’t miss it because it is the tallest building on the block (and surrounding area for that matter)- just be aware that if you are coming from the Gaslamp Quarter the entrance is facing the opposite direction. Getting in was easy, we checked in, got two sets of keys and a parking permit (private parking garage). The building is secure: you need keys to get in and also to get the elevator going. The apartment was really nice. Everything looked new and had a modern feel. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for the stay: extra blankets, towels, pillows, kitchen utensils, plates, coffee and tea pot, W/D, and even detergents. Really, all you need to do is buy some drinks or food if you want to. Everything else is there. Plus, you are in walking distance to gaslamp, trolley stations, bus stops, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store and a couple of 7-elevens.Here are the cons: there’s construction work going on near by, generating a lot of noise. At least if you need to wake up early you will not be needing an alarm… Also, the area is packed with homeless people. I wasn’t too bothered by it because for one I already knew about it (it’s SD, can’t do much about it) but also, they were minding their own business (for the most part, or they would ask for money). Anyway, we walked back and forth to the Convention Center, day or night, every day for 5 days without a problem. Just don’t walk the area alone, specially not at night. Talking about night time, you may want to walk on the street sometimes if you see the homeless setting up camp on the sidewalk. But like I said, I really wasn’t bothered by the homeless. As long as you are careful, alert of your surroundings and not alone, you’ll be fine. I would definitely rent here again if I ever return to SD and need that kind of space. Since there’s construction work going on I expect that in a few years the area might be better developed and maybe the homeless will find other streets-for the moment the building sits alone surrounded by a couple of empty lots.Above all, it is a lot better to have all that space and commodity versus being cramped in a hotel room (in which you will never feel “at home”).

beautiful building and excellent condo in easy walking distance to gaslight quarter
Posted on: 4/13/2016
My wife and 5 year old, and in-laws, stay with me in this 2br, 2ba condo on the 11th floor of a brand new 45 story apartment tower near 15th and J street in San Diego, It is just about one mile to the waterfront area by the Hyatt and the Marriott, and on the western edge of a nice urban district with many restaurants, shops and convenient public transportation. I walked back and forth to a conference every day while my family hopped on the local tram and visited some sights and the beautiful weather and neighborhood shops. Much better than usual scenario for going to a conference! Front desk was very friendly and helpful; unit was highly functional and in expected like-new condition. Recommended.

Great modern apartment with easy access anywhere to San Diego area.
Posted on: 4/21/2016
We loved this two bedroom, two bath apartment. Nice, clean, modern with all of the amenities (washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen, and the usual Stay Alfred goodies) you’d need for an extended stay. Underground secure parking and a coffee house / beer garden just across a park. We needed a place to stay that was close to the freeway so that we could get to LaJolla. The apartment building complex is 45 floors and recently built. The neighborhood is in transition and a little sketchy but in a year or so will be great. The staff is warm and friendly. All in all a great stay.

Excellent alternative to a hotel stay!! Top notch amenities and service!!!
Posted on: 4/21/2016
When we decided to spend spring break in San Diego we thoroughly researched the alternatives. We considered a hotel stay, VRBO, and even AirBnB. Then we discovered Stay Alfred and I’m glad we did. We had an amazing stay at a beautiful condominium in San Diego’s East Village. Everything was top notch — the unit (9th floor w/balcony and fantastic views of harbor and downtown), the amenities and staff at Pinnacle, and especially the customer service at Stay Alfred. A friendly voice was always available at Stay Alfred — getting us settled in for the stay (needed wifi info) to our departure and a frantic call when we thought we had left something behind. Great place, service, follow-up all added up to an super enjoyable experience and vacation. Thank you Stay Alfred!

San Diego apartment better than hotel
Posted on: 5/4/2016
This property is adjacent to a construction site. Sound wasn’t much of an issue other than traffic noise that you typically get when staying downtown. Beds were comfortable and two bathrooms. We were two couples sharing the space and each had our own bathroom. It is a few blocks from the main downtown area. We used Uber at $6.00 a ride to get where we needed to go by the convention center. We were there for a conference so not far - you could walk to the convention center, about a mile.

Safe, clean & polite neighbors
Posted on: 6/1/2016
Best place to stay with small children. The apartment was clean & had everything needed to feel like you were at home. The building was very secure, you couldn’t use the elevator unless you had a key which made it very safe. The residents are very polite & so is the front desk. I will definitely stay there again

10 minutes from it all
Posted on: 6/22/2016
The location of the building was wonderful and allowed us to access all major attractions within 10 minutes down highway 5. Cons - Sadly, the neighborhood was not the best. We were surrounded by a large population of homeless and I did not feel comfortable walking to any near by sights with my children. The park is lovely but again we could not take advantage of it. If there was another down side it was the parking garage for the building. Not being from the area I need more direction of navigating the parking garage which was dangerous because there is only one way or out. Well lit and clear but dangerous none the less. Also, we could have used further directions on where to throw out the trash. Pros- The apartment was clear, well furnished, offered all amenities including a pack -n-play for the baby. Building staff was nice and the Stay Alfred staff was always pleasant and there to take our calls. Once in the building felt very secure. My boys really enjoyed the view of the mountains and the airplane traffic. With all the pros and cons I would not stay at this location again as there was not enough room for the pack n play in our room but I would stay with Stay Alfred again.

Great Getaway
Posted on: 7/20/2016
Pinnacle on the Park is a prime & upscale location for anytime of the year. The nearby restaurants are amazing, and there are several shopping centers close in proximity. There is a homeless center a few blocks over however I was not harrassed for money. My stay was overall pleasant!

High RIse Condo Walking Distance to Petco Park
Posted on: 7/27/2016
My family ( 2 young adult children and 1 husband) stayed here for 4 nights to attend the MLB All Star Game at Petco Park. The ball park was a 10-15min walk as was the downtown area/Gaslamp District. The condo was perfect for us, 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a sofa bed and a nice terrace. Only wish the king size bed was in the bigger room that had it’s own bathroom. The building was very secure, FOB to get in and use elevator. Huge underground parking that we used. Nice pool, exercise room, community room-my son used. Only down side-LOTS of homeless people in the neighborhood, but that is city life. We did not have any problems, but we could see the tent city very well from the terrace.I left something in the condo and had to get back in after checkout. I called Stay Alfred and they helped me facilitate getting back in-which I really appreciated

If I would have known about the location and construction, I would have chosen differently
Posted on: 8/3/2016
I had higher hopes for this condo rental as it seemed like a nice place. Upon arrival, we noticed that the bathroom was not really clean and I had to call Stay Alfred for the cleaning service to come out. When they came, they did clean the floors but didn’t change out the shower curtain or the bath mat, which was supposed to have been done. The customer service team was extremely nice but it was not a great experience to have to call and arrange key drop off and pick up in the middle of a vacation to only have it not completely done. The Stay Alfred team did give us 1/2 our cleaning deposit back as a result. The condo is situated at the end of the hall, as a corner unit which is great for views today. However, the rental team failed to mention that both sides of the building that the unit faces are undergoing major construction. As a result, every weekday we were treated to a 6:30am wake-up of construction crews working with heavy equipment (think tractors, cranes - major excavation). When I was on the phone with the customer service representative, trying to arrange to have the bathroom cleaned, the representative mentioned that he noticed the construction when he was out the week before. Yet, no one from Stay Alfred contacted us or even offered a solution when they were told about the construction. As this construction is for two (2) new buildings, I would imagine this work will take place over the course of a year or two - future renters be warned. The other item that is worth mentioning is that with all the new construction, it looks like the homeless and tent cities have moved and are much closer to the building in proximity. As a result, when walking to the convention center, we had to walk through those areas which was a bit rough especially when being asked if I wanted a boyfriend - it should be noted that I was with my husband and 13 year old daughter and the man in question didn’t appear to be completely lucid. I only mention this for future renters that may look to stay and do more walking to places rather than driving. The people we did talk to with Stay Alfred are very pleasant when you talk with them. However, we paid for a nice vacation rental that in the end was just not worth the money, the hassle of multiple of phone calls to coordinate having the cleaning people back or the lack of sleep due to the construction when we really weren’t offered any solution.
