Though I don't believe it was mentioned anywhere in the description, this small unit was spread over three floors. This was very surprising and disappointing. People staying in the master bedroom had to haul the luggage up two steep flights of stairs and everyone had to deal with stairs to get to the living room. The carpet was very dirty, there were only the bare minimum of towels and kitchenware. The location was fine though you could hear planes from the airport.

The accommodation was not easy to find. If you pay for a garrage not that the house numbers are different from the garage numbers. Please read the information provided thoroughly as there is no one to help when you get to the apartment. The rooms are on two levels and the living room is in the middle level. If you don't want to be closer to your kids etc. then this place is not for you.

We mainly picked out this property because it was located by the park, zoo, and Gaslamp. It was an easy walk/ride to all of the venues we were heading to during our stay. The three-story condo was beautifully done and very comfortable. The laundry is a HUGE plus!

Had a great experience at this apartment. Plenty of space and only a few blocks away from the bars/clubs. Uber/lyft was only $6. Will recommend to anyone visiting SD.

I traveled with my wife, her mother, and our 2 kids (4 & 11 months). They loved the place and so did we. The rates were fantastic and the place was clean. We are so glad that we chose to book through Alfred Stays instead of an overpriced hotel. The convenience of having 2 rooms AND a full dinning and kitchen area for a week long stay was amazing. A few things worth noting however... -The unit was a 3 story unit! It wasn't really clear anywhere that it would be 3 story unit so we were surprised. We may not have booked it knowing that BUT.... I am glad we did AND I ended up loving the 3 story convenience. My mother-in-law as great, but the addition floor gave us extra privacy when needed. Of course having to carry a sleeping 4 year old up 3 flights of stairs was hard. -Also worth noting... the water pressure in this place was just horrible! I mean it was bad. I don't blame this on Alred Stays. I actually blame the water drought in California. See, all new shower-heads are required by law to have a water regulator which limits the water output on showers. This can easily fixed by unscrewing the shower head and removing the the regulatory but we did not. We just lived with it. This was an annoyance.... but not enough to deduct stars from this review. I just thought if you are considering this place, you should know. -Last thing I want to note that isn't clear in the photos.... the pool is NOT in this same building. The complex is rather large so the pool is actually down the street. It was a 2 minute walk though. The gym and Jacuzzi are in the same building. Again, not something that makes me rate lower than 5 stars.... just worth noting. Overall we were very happy with the place. All of the attractions were never more than a 30 minute drive. Would recommend and book again if we ever return to San Diego!

We enjoyed our stay with kids. My 1yr old had a Playas to sleep in. The separation between bedrooms and living space was nice. We needed batteries in the tv remotes, Sunday night the service was great. My call was answered and a fix was scheduled. However, the next day we needed light bulbs, the stairs were dark, on Monday morning I couldn't reach an agent and couldn't leave a message, the phone didn't allow for it. I ended not calling back. We enjoyed the rental, the garage for our car was great! Kitchen was convenient, we cooked breakfast each morning and dinner a couple times. Neighborhood was good, all the lovals were walking their dogs well into the evening.

We had a lot of activities at Petco for the All Star game and i was walkable. The condo itself was very nice and in a good area...It is on three levels with fairly long and steep stairs, so it is not recommended for people with knee or joint problems. Very clean. Secure parking. Never did find the pool but did find the hot tub area. Nice court yard. Quiet. It is easily driveable to most San Diego area things but not walkable to Balboa for most people. I did walk to Gaslamp most every morning and while I do walk a pretty good bit, I found it pretty easy. It is set up on a hill, however.

The apartment was amazing. Three floors with a bedroom and full bath on the top and bottom floors. The second floor living room and kitchen were very well furnished. The whole apartment and experience were an absolute delight.

I'm glad we arrived during daylight hours because finding the address was a challenge with 2 buildings on different blocks. I actually entered the gate of 119 for the other building and met a nice lady about my age who lived there and wondered how she could help me as I was trying to figure out her lock box on the gate. The directions regarding buildings may want to point that out and add between "Beech and Ash" for this location. It was very helpful to have 2 places for parking. We had a large SUV which made parking in compact spots in the garage interesting but doable. Also, though not in Stay Alfred's control, the garages are confusing. Our actual unit on the first floor was UG (not P level) in the elevator. We parked on LG (lower garage). It would be helpful for the Townhomes management to make a point to label that. Once we got inside it was lovely overall. A big reason I selected this unit is because of the decor. The welcome basket items disappeared before I got over to see what was available. That was our designated keys drop spot throughout the stay. I do wish the king bed and TV were downstairs with the large closets and bathroom as a true master, but we figured out an arrangement that worked. The kitchen was great. The extra blankets came in handy. We did quite a bit of wash so the unit washer/dryer was helpful. The lint on the dryer was awkward in the door and kinda got everywhere. The flooring made that interesting to get up with the broom. We bought tissue (which I recommend providing) and I prefer nicer toilet paper. We also purchased bags for the trash in the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom. The hair dryer was great. We had enough towels and plenty of pillows. The king bed was comfortable but the sheets and mattress cover would not stay in place. There are items that can be purchased to fasten them to stay in place. The queen bed was not comfortable at all. I preferred the coach to that bed. The noise downstairs was also an issue until we realized someone had the shower window open. Due to the lights outside at night having some kind of window covering in addition to the blinds would be a nice touch. The left blind in the bottom bedroom needs repair at the bottom (FYI). The TVs were great & our devices connected well with the information provided. We spent a lot of time playing games at the dining room table which had 6 places and 2 extra chairs were also provided in case of if. The stairs were really steep in the unit, but we adjusted. We tried 2 of the 3 dining places recommended in the welcome binder. Puestos Mexican food was delicious with fun shopping/jail museum while we waited for a table. The heaters outside near our table were a blessing. We also went to breakfast at Cafe 222. The service was amazing and the food yummy. (I wish they had real bacon instead of turkey bacon). We also went to Hodad's and the Fish Market restaurant on the harbor which was fantastic. Door Dash had tons of great restaurants to order from on the evenings we stayed in after an eventful day. We ordered from Cheesecake Factory and Outback Steakhouse. Both were good and much quicker than the delivery time we're used to in the Dallas area. We also went to Ralph's (grocery store) which is basically Kroger's (take your card for savings). We stocked up there. Parking was a challenge and when we rolled our loaded shopping cart outside, the wheels locked up. We were perplexed until the security officer explained that the wheels lock up so they don't lose carts. That made sense. There were more homeless folks than I have seen before. Bringing groceries up in the Heritage was definitely a multi-person job! We went to a Yankees game in PETCO Park, and we walked. We were very close to Sea World and the San Diego ZOO--one of the best zoos to visit! We went to Mission Beach and Coronado Beach--which weren't but 10-15 minutes to reach by car. In general I liked the property- it met my expectations regarding quality of furnishings, location, etc. However, the listing features a big photo of a swimming pool. Imagine my surprise when I checked in and couldn't find a pool anywhere. Turns out the pool in the photo is actually in a building a block away. This means walking down a city street in your bathing suit. This was very disappointing as I was traveling with two young girls- the pool was a main reason I picked this property in the first place. Very misleading.

We arrived after midnight during a rare heat advisory in San Diego. We walked into the 1st floor and it was 81 degrees inside the condo and considerably warmer two floors up where the master bedroom is located. The unit is beautifully furnished, but the carpet is very worn and dirty/bleach stained. After trying unsuccessfully to get air conditioning, I called Stay Alfred. I spoke to Brandon several times and sent him pictures of the thermostat which only switched from "Heat" to "Fan." I realize that the mild temperatures in San Diego probably make this unnecessary most of the time, but it should be made clear on the website as we would have chosen a different location. Thankfully, the next morning, the Stay Alfred staff were able to move us to another unit nearby that had central air conditioning. I wish I had pushed harder for some kind of rate adjustment since it basically took the better part of our day for them to find an available unit and then for us to wait for it to be cleaned. The customer service cannot be beat!

This is a great place if you are traveling with others. This is a 3 story apartment with one bedroom and bath on the first floor, Another bedroom and bath on the 3rd floor, and the shared living area on the 2nd floor. The apartment has all the necessities you will need. You only need to buy food. However, the carpets (especially the stairs) need cleaning. I also got several fleas bites which I assumed was from the carpet. O

Very clean, GREAT location in a quiet & friendly neighborhood, easy to get help from staff and instructions are clear. This location (unit 147) has very low water pressure in downstairs shower, slight inconvenience that pool was in building across street from us and the need to climb 2 sets of stairs when going from front door to the top floor. But we enjoyed our short stay here.

The arrival instructions were clear and easy to follow. The unit was easy to find, clean and located walking distance to Gaslamp as well as Little Italy and Petco Park. We found it to be an excellent location. The unit is clean and well decorated. Will definitely come back!!

The apartment is lovely, clean and spacious. Be aware that it is 3 floors so if you have difficulty climbing stairs it may not be for you. Or if you have vey small children it could be difficult keeping them away from the stairs. Having a full kitchen and washer and dryer is very nice. It does feel safer with the enclosed garage and gates. The hot tub/ spa is huge and very nice. There is a work out room that appears nice although I did not make use of it. Be aware that it does come with 2 parking spaces but you do pay $20 p/day extra to use them. Do not plan to park on the street as those spots always seem to be filled. Checking in is more cumbersome than with a hotel but overall I think it was worth it. I enjoyed my stay and would certainly consider it again and would recommend it to others.

Clean, roomy,practical. Kitchen is great. Would use it again. Loved the location for midtown San Diego. Close to Balboa Park, Little Italy and Petco Field.

We took a family trip to San Diego from LA. I visited and read reviews on various hotels online. None really seemed to accommodate our family, on various occasions I would've had to pay for two separate rooms to meet my needs. However that was a bit pricy! I came across Stay Alfred Vacation Rentals. Once I read the information provided and glanced at the pictures, I didn't give it a second thought! Booked it right away. I loved the place! It was beautiful! Felt just like home! It's located in a quiet neighborhood. I would definitely recommend it for a family trip, or friends, couples it will suit and exceed your expectations. I am looking forward to booking my stays at various of the locations in which these rental vacation properties are located. Let me not forget to mention that the prices are unbeatable for the quality!
